SW of Porta Maggiore is Aqua Claudia and Anio Novus, which branched out to different directions, a section that was built by Nero. Hence the name Aqua Neroniani. and we see the section to the left, taller brickwork, that of the Arcus Neroniani. Later it was incorporated into the Aurelian Wall by emperor Aurelian in 271 CE. Also marks the intersection between two ancient roads: Via Praenistina and Via Labicana. Also shown is the Tomb of Eurysaces (Marcus Vergilius Eurysaces) from late 1st c. BCE.
