Notes
The ceiling painting is possibly the work of Marco Vecellio or the School of Titian. The gallery was used by nuns from the Poor Clares convent located next to the Miracoli; they accessed the church via a suspended bridge that connected the buildings. The image of the Holy Spirit is located beneath the central painting of the Virgin and Child. The representations of St. Francis on the left side of the ceiling correspond to the same side as the sculpture of St. Francis located on the left side of the altar baluster. On the opposite side is an image of St. Clare, which corresponds to the sculpture of St. Clare on the right side of the baluster. The carver of the wooden balustrade above is unknown, though the gallery was in place by the early 16th century.
