The river is Dibni Su, one of the tributaries of the Tigris. Assyrian kings Tiglath-pileser I (lower relief) and Shalmaneser III (upper relief), in the early eleventh and mid-ninth centuries BCE respectively, visited this source of the Tigris river repeatedly.
