Notes
SEE BACK; I.-A-1; Built about 1795, this beautiful landmark in Alexandria is typical of the early Spanish colonial plantation home. It was built by the slaves of Pierre II, son of a solidier in the King's Army in Natchitoches. The house was constructed from materials from the land itself. It was moved to its present site in 1964 and now contains a museum.
