SEE BACK; X-WC-1; NOTTOWAY PLANTATION HOME was built by John Hampden Randolph of Virginia in 1857. The huge cement-covered brick house, set in a grove of live oaks, is surrounded by a heavy cornice and rises two stories over a raised stuccoed basement. Tall square wooden columns, painted white, support the iron-railed galleries. Overnight accommodations by reservation. Refreshments, gift shop. Open daily, 9 to 5.
