Notes: The Piazza del Campidoglio has three main structures, Palazzo Senatorio, Palazzo dei Conservatori, and Palazzo Nuovo. In the center is a copy of the famous equestrian statue of Marcus Aurelius from antiquity. Michelangelo designed the Piazza itself, as well as the Conservatori, and certain elements of the Senatorio as well.
