The creator and architect of the Pantheon is uncertain, and while it is known to have been completed in the reign of Hadrian, there are attempts to connect it with Trajan’s architect, Apollodorus of Damascus. The initial building that precedes the extant structure was by Agrippa, and the inscriptions announcing this on the front is understood as an homage to the creator of the earlier structure.
