The barrel vault is decorated with wooden coffering and fifty panels depicting “Prophets and Patriarchs”, skillfully realised by the students of Tiziano. The three central frames illustrate The Virgin and Child, St Francis, and St Clare. It was begun by Pier Maria and Gerolamo Pennacchi and continued by Vincenzo dalle Destre and Lattanzio da Rimini.
