Duke's Diwan

Oldest extant building in downtown Amman, it was built as the city's first post office and for a short period it was also used as the Finance Ministry. After the Nakba in 1948 it was converted into the Haifa Hotel. The arts and cultural centre, as it is at present, was established in 2001.
