Overview
Priory and parish of the former diocese of Bourges constructed on a promontory associated with the martyrdom of Principin. A five-bay nave of irregular shape is covered with a pointed barrel vault; it is flanked to the north by a barrel vaulted aisle over which rises a tower; to the east the main vessel and aisle are terminated by apses. The eastern two straight bays were the first part constructed in the 12th century; the remaining two bays to the west came later. In the main apse is a spectacular painting (15th c?) of Christ surrounded by the evangelist signs. A white beard has transformed Christ into God.
