Overview
Parish of the former diocese of Bourges, in the gift of the archbishop. The west end of the nave has been lost; remaining is the crossing bay flanked by barrel-vaulted transept arms: this is the original Romanesque core of the church. To the east there is one bay of barrel-vaulted choir, then a chevet plat with triple lancet windows and an oculus. The central choir is flanked by square groin-vaulted chapels. Whether through slowness of construction, or through the need to replace original vaulting, rib vaults have made their appearance in the crossing (they sit on corbels) and they were anticipated for the first bay of the nave.
